Sam Doyle is on his way round Britain’s coastline, and has put his feet up for a bit at Glencaple Quay End on a warm and bright thursday.
Sam says “I suffered PTSD for a number of years, became a bit suicidal and decided, well, I’ll just walk it off so to speak!”
He isn’t half “walking it off” , with 7,721 miles in all.
“I fortunately got involved with the charity PTSD Resolution and want to help veterans out who are in the same boat as me. I started 7 weeks ago and am about 320 miles in.”
He set off from Blackpool and thats where he intends to finish, going clockwise.
His ETA in getting back is another 2 years and 3 months, doing about 10 miles per day – with the occasional days off promoting the cause, and resting his feet.
